A scooter enthusiast bought his dream Italian Vespa - using 20 stacks of small change he had been saving for three years.

Top Sathit, 29, went to the store when he could finally afford the red motorcycle, but staff were amused when he pulled out the thick stash of banknotes.

Footage shows Top placing the money worth 138,200 baht (3,300 GBP) on the table with shocked staff watching him in Phetchaburi province, Thailand, on December 26.

The staff counted the customer's crumpled cash together which Top pulled out from a plastic bag.

Top said: ‘I saved the money from selling Kalamae, a type of Thai dessert in temple fairs. It took me three months so I could buy my dream motorcycle.'
