The elephant temple Ganesha Mandir in Germany's Leipzig Zoo is open again where for the first time, visitors can take a look at a newborn endangered Asian elephant calf.

The calf was born on the night of December 21, and it is the daughter of Thuza and Voi Nam, joining three-month-old Akito, giving a double treat to zoo visitors.

After the first few days, the excitement subsided and the new herd member is doing well at the moment.
