This footage was filmed and produced 7 January 2023.

This is the moment two juveniles lead Texas deputies on a chase in a car they reportedly stole from a woman. It all began when the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office received a call saying a woman had her car stolen while picking up an order from the local McDonald's.

The victim said two suspects got inside her vehicle and fled across the interstate highway. A deputy was able to quickly locate the stolen car and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle, with a 16-year-old driver and 12-year-old passenger inside - both unnamed - kept going and drove into the neighbouring city of Mont Belvieu as pursuing unit followed closely behind.
Suddenly, the two juveniles fled the car and continued escaping on foot.
But deputies and troopers quickly caught up with them and apprehended them without incident.

Following the pursuit, the stolen vehicle was returned to the rightful owner.
Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne said in a statement following the incident: "The fast response and quick thinking of our Sheriff’s Deputies and Troopers and Mont Belvieu Police Department helped to solve this crime quickly in our county. I sincerely appreciate the dedication of all our law enforcement personnel who put themselves in danger in the service of our citizens."
