Park rangers guided a wild elephant back into the forest with its herd in Thailand on January 6.

The animal was spotted wandering along a national park road in Nakhon Ratchasima province.

However, it had to be lured back into the woods as it blocked traffic by occupying an entire lane.

Footage shows the elephant following the slow truck and finally returning with its herd.

Officer Chaiwat Boonsawat said: "These creatures are gentle if we know how to handle them properly".
