This is the watermain leak in Jackson, Mississippi at a Dollar General reported to city officials last week and today (January 17) the city fails to recognize this leak.

"Last week this water was touching the phonelines above and today the water pressure is lower causing the water to just miss the phonelines. Officials have reported loss of water pressure and have asked the citizens for assistance in reporting water leaks. This leak has been reported to the city and today still goes unrecognized by city officials as to being an issue of concern," the filmer said.

Jackson, MS has been plagued with water issues for the past several years. This past August 2022, Jackson, MS made headlines when flooding of the Pearl River caused pumps at the OB Curtis Water Treatment Plant to fail. This failure resulted in the entire city and other citys who get their drinking water from Jackson to go under boil water notices for months.
This past month the City of Jackson has again issued boil water notices for several areas of the city who have lost water pressure either entirely or some. Students at Jackson State University are still without A/C in the dorms as they come back to class this January as the A/C unit requires water for the chillers.
