Terrified passengers watched as a bus burst into flames outside a railway station in Bristol, England, on Tuesday, January 17.

The vehicle caught fire outside the busy Temple Meads Railway Station in the South West city at around 10 a.m. local time.

Shocked locals passing by the incident looked on as fire crews rushed to the scene to contain the inferno.

Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus to tackle the fire and bring it under control.

An Avon Fire and Rescue spokesman said the fire blaze onboard the Number 73 was extinguished and crews remained until the bus was recovered.

"Following a fire on one of our 73 buses at Temple Meads Station earlier this morning, we can confirm the bus was not carrying any passengers and the driver was unharmed," said a spokesman for bus operator First West of England.
