An altercation took place in an Aldi supermarket after a customer confronted the cashier over their treatment of another customer.

Tata Adigwe noticed the employee at the checkout in Cleveland, Ohio, allegedly being rude to an elderly gentlemen and when she began recording the incident, the cashier reached over and tried to snatch the phone.

The employee sat there as Tata backed away and began to explain the situation that had occurred to the security on shift, and the supposed mistreatment of the elderly customer.

Tata said: "I was confronting the Aldi employee for being very rude to an elderly gentleman.

"I wanted the Aldi employer to stop and talk to me that's why I started to record her and she tried to snatch my phone in the process.

"People having been thanking me tremendously for sticking up for the elderly gentleman."
