Footage filmed on January 14 shows how a farmer uses lasers to decorate watermelons to celebrate the Lunar New Year in Ha Noi, Vietnam.

According to the farmer, laser-engraved melons sell for $4 or more, twice as much as regular melons. Despite the higher price, customers frequently opt for engraved ones with motifs.

The farmer's facility carves about 6,000 melons daily by machine.
