A pirate ship fairground ride was seen being operated by a guy sitting under the carriage pushing a lever.

Footage shows the worker pushing and pulling the metal handle to sway the boat-shaped attraction in Davao del Norte province, the Philippines on January 14.

While on the other side of the pit was a second worker relaxing in a hammock.

The excited youngsters could be heard shouting as the ‘Viking' ride swung left and right.

Amazed Onlooker Jelena Kopileca said: ‘I was shocked when I saw that the carousel was accelerated manually by a guy underneath.

'I later noticed another guy on the other side. He was chilling on a hammock. It was so loud and dangerous.'
