Mahsa Amini protesters go topless to reject World Hijab Day in London

Female protesters stripped to their bras or went topless to protest on World Hijab Day - supporting women's freedom and choice she can make about her personal attire, and the religious clothing being used as an tool of repression (February 1).

The demonstrators covered in body paint and that said 'No hijab', chanted 'Woman, Life, Freedom as they raised hijabs and burnt them symbolically on the steps of Trafalgar Square.

They also spoke about the situation in Iran that led to the death of 22-year-old Kurdish-Iranian woman Mahsa Amini's alleged death in custody after being detained by the country's morality police in September, for breaking hijab rules, sparking off intense protests.
