Footage shows two male octopuses fighting over a female during mating season in a coral reef near the waters of Hurghada, Egypt in June 2010.

The filmer/scuba diver told Newsflare: "The two male octopuses were fighting with their tentacles wrapped around each other. After a minute, the winner gets on top of the other one. The loser then slips out and walks away."

I was scuba diving at around 8 meters next to a coral reef.
It happened off the coast of Hurghada in Egypt in June 2010.
The camera was a Sony HD Camcorder in a Nimar Housing with red filter.
