Villa owner finds barking deer swimming in his pool
This is the moment a shocked villa owner found a wild barking deer swimming in his pool in Thailand.
The property owner spotted the animal, also known as a muntjac, wading through the outdoor pool at the Baobei House villa in Prachuap Khiri Khan province on March 28.
The creature paddled against the currents and hoisted itself up onto the banks before bounding away.
Muntjacs, sometimes called barking deer or rib-faced deer, are small deer native to South and Southeast Asia. They like to inhabit dense vegetation with a nearby water source.
