Densus 88 Anti-Teror and Brimob Polda Lampung raided a suspected terrorist group's hiding place in Margo Rejo village, Pagelaran Utara district, Pringsewu regency, Lampung on Wednesday night. The location of the raid was in the Register 22 mountainous area. In addition to this location, a raid was also carried out in Sendang Agung district, Central Lampung regency.

The raid was met with resistance, leading to a gunfight between the police and the suspected terrorist group. Two members of the group were killed in the shootout, while one Densus 88 member sustained three gunshot wounds and had to be evacuated on a stretcher from the top of the mountain.

According to gathered data, Densus 88 managed to capture four other individuals during the pursuit into the forest. The raided terrorist group is believed to be affiliated with Jamaah Islamiyah.

Lampung Regional Police Chief, Police Inspector General Helmy Santika, confirmed the shootout between the police and the suspected terrorist group. He urged all police officers in Lampung province to remain vigilant and establish good relationships with the community to prevent terrorist groups from entering Lampung again.
