A rare eclipse delights skywatchers in Indonesia. Footage filmed on April 20 in Kabupaten Tanah Datar, captures the beauty of a hybrid eclipse, a celestial event occurring only a few times per century.

When a hybrid solar eclipse occurs there are 3 kinds of lunar shadows, namely antumbra, penumbra, and umbra. - In the region passed by the antumbra, the observed eclipse is a ring solar eclipse. - In the region affected by the penumbra, the eclipse he observed was a partial solar eclipse. - In certain other areas through which the umbra passes, the observed eclipse is a total solar eclipse.
