Most people that don’t like their steak median rare usually say it’s because the “blood” grossed them out. What you’ll find interesting is that there actually isn’t ANY blood in a processed steak that you buy at the store or order at a restaurant. It’s actually a protein called myoglobin that can be found in the muscle. A combo of 75% water and the rest myoglobin make the liquid and when it is exposed to oxygen it turns red (just like hemoglobin). Just a fun fact about red meat that many don’t know about!
