Police said they would file charges against two women filmed catfighting inside a cramped jeepney amid terrified passengers.

The two middle-aged women reportedly confronted each other when they accidentally boarded the same 20-seater vehicle in Cebu City, the Philippines on April 17.

One of them reportedly began murmuring passive-aggressive remarks at her foe, but the equally furious neighbour did not take the comments lightly, and the brawl ensued.

Footage shows the chaos inside the jeepney as the women attacked each other using water bottles. They also kicked and punched each other as helpless passengers tried to pull them apart.

The women were reportedly kicked out of the vehicle, but local police said they would file an alarm and scandal case against them.

Police Colonel Ireneo Dalogdog, who is still hunting for the paid, said: ‘We will not let it slide. We will find everyone involved and make them face the consequences of their actions.'

In the Philippines, a person found to have committed alarm and scandal is fined up to 40,000 PHP (575.75 GBP) and imprisoned for up to 30 days.
