A man managed to painstakingly remove a puppy that was covered in sewage from a toilet pipe in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu.

Footage from May 16 shows Chella, a local snake catcher and animal lover, assessing the situation after he received a call from Murugan about his pet puppy.

Chella and his team tried to pull the pooch out of the toilet but soon realised it had ventured too deep. The panicked cry of the pup can be heard.

The rescue team then decided to dig out the adjacent area so they could cut out a section of the pipe.

After seven hours, they eventually managed to cut the pipe and finally rescue the puppy.

The pooch was then given a shower and a towel before being reunited with its mother.

Chella who is a well known animal lover and snake catcher there tells that he get a call from a worried dog owner named murugan, muruguan informed chella that his pet some days back gave birth to puppies and one of the puppy slipped toilet and got stuck there.

Chella after reaching house inspected the area, chella and his associates tried to pull out the puppy from the toilet hole but the puppy walked deep inside toilet pipe, panicked voice of the puppy can be heard coming from inside. To rescue out the puppy they decided to dig the adjacent area so that the toilet pipe can be cut to rescue out the puppy.
It took around 7 hours to dig the area and cut the pipe to finally rescue out rhe puppy.

Chella tells soon after the rescue the puppy ran towards her mother for to get feed.
