Five puppies were rescued from a flooded storm drain in Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu, on November 16.

The mother dog managed to escape the drain as rains lashed the area but was unable to carry her pups out.

After spotting the pooch barking at the pipe, locals surrounded and heard the puppies crying from inside.

A fire and rescue team was immediately called.

One of the team tied to rope ventured into the 50-metre-long drain and located the pups just 30 metres in.

All five puppies were rescued and reunited with their mother.

A dog gave birth to puppies inside a dry strom water drain. Monsoon started in Tamilnadu and rains lashed almost all parts of Tamilnadu. Rain water rushed through the strom water drain.

The puppies and the mama dog was struck inside the drain. But mama dog managed to come out but it cant able to carry the puppies with her.

The mama dog came out and started barking at the pipe. Noticing this a man came towards the pipe and he heard the sound of crying puppies inside the pipe.

He them immediately called the fire and rescue team. They rushed to the spot. One of the rescuer tied rope around him and went inside the strom water drain that was 50 meters long and this puppies were on 30 meters.

This rescue was a litfle risky as the pipe was only 2 meters in diameter and rainwater was rushing through the pipe continously.

Then the rescuer was pulled out where he got three puppies along with him.. Then he went again inside and pulled two other more puppies out.

All the five puppies were rescued safely. Then it was later united with its mother.
