Firefighters managed to rescue a trapped nilgai by hauling it out of a well in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh.

Footage shared by firefighter Vivek Singh of Bhadohi's Fire and Emergency Service shows ropes being used to lift the distressed animal out of the muddy pit.

Once out of the well, the animal was released.

The local fire brigade officials rescued a Nilgai which had fallen into a well in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

This happened in Mungraha village of Bhadohi district on May 24.

Visuals showed the Nilgai being taken out of the well with the help of a stick and ropes. The ropes were tied around the animal which was used to pull it.

The Nilgai was pulled out of the dry well. The animal acted restlessly after being brought out of the trapped well and the people present there had to stop with the help of big bamboo sticks. Fire brigade officials conducted the rescue operation of this animal successfully with the help of the villagers.
