This is the shocking moment a furious tourist attacked a Chinese man in a road rage attack in Pattaya, Thailand.

The angry driver in a rented car was seen wearing what appeared to be a police uniform while battering the Chinese man lying on the pavement in front of stores at 3 am on May 24.

The helpless Chinese national could only take a beating as the burly thug overpowered him.

The alleged attacker was heard in broken English asking: 'What is your nationality?' before accusing the beaten-down tourist of almost causing an accident.

He continued: 'What is your nationality, I want to know that. I am connected to the Chinese government before, also.

'You were close to killing me, motherf****r! No sorry from you. You have no f***ing brain, a**hole.'

His female Thai companion was also seen cursing at the holidaymaker from China. When concerned onlookers tried to intervene, she allegedly warned them: 'Nobody can stop him! If anyone angers him like this, nobody can stop him!

'Do you know? This Chinese man almost caused a car accident and could have killed us. If I had died, what would you do? This is still not enough! Do you know how powerful he is?'

Pattaya police officers later arrived to stop the fight. They said they will hear out both sides during the investigation.

A bar manager, 31, who declined to be identified for fear of reprisal, said she was driving through the area when she noticed the commotion on the sidewalk.

She said: 'The Chinese man had parked his sedan near the intersection, and the motorcycle-riding foreigner, accompanied by a Thai woman, approached and pulled him out of the driver's seat before beating him up.

'I was recording the video as evidence, but I was frustrated when the Thai lady began insulting me too. I just ignored her so the situation wouldn't escalate.

'I wanted to share the video to show the inappropriate behaviour of the attacker. He was acting like he was above the law.'
