In the early morning hours of May 26th, 2023 Krasnodar, Russia, was struck by a series of explosions caused by two drones. The incident left a trail of destruction in its wake. One of the explosions targeted a building with an MTS tower on Morskaya Street in the Festivalny microdistrict, while another blast hit a five-story building and a private house on Garagenaya Street. Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, assessing the damage and attending to the affected areas.

Eyewitnesses described the unnerving sequence of events that unfolded during the night. A local resident residing on Turgenev Street reported hearing peculiar noises, initially mistaking them for a moped passing by at such an early hour. However, within a fraction of a second, an explosion shattered the tranquility of the night. The first blast occurred around 04:10, followed by a second explosion roughly ten minutes later at 04:22. The unsettling experience disrupted the witness's sleep, leaving them unable to find rest even after the chaos subsided.
