Riders use homemade pedal carts to transport passengers on this road in Bangkok.

Footage shows tuk-tuk drivers pedalling passengers on their unique handmade travel contraptions through the Ramkhamhaeng 4 alley to their destination.

Customers ride on seats in front of the driver, while a large umbrella protects them from the summer heat.

Rides cost just five Baht (0.14 USD) to be taken to the end of the road. Passengers can also charter a whole cart for 20 Baht (0.57 USD) and cram upto seven people inside.

According to one of the riders, they earn an estimated daily income of around 200 baht (5.75 USD) or more on a busy day. They usually provide services from around 5 AM to 8 PM.
