Kind tourist revives baby shark with CPR on a Thai beach
A kind tourist revived an injured baby shark with CPR on a Thai beach.
Tonoi Silarak visited an island n Chonburi province, Thailand, with friends when a local market vendor was seen selling the sharks destined for restaurants on February 9.
Feeling sad that the creatures would end up on the dinner plane, Tonoi bought all of them that were swimming in the inflatable pool.
However, one of the marine animals appeared weak until it could no longer swim. Tonoi quickly picked it up and did chest compressions to save its life.
Footage shows Tonoi using both thumbs to press the baby shark's chest. She shouted in excitement each time the creature moved and twitched.
She said: ‘The shark looked stiff and we were worried that it could die. I gave it CPR before we took it back to the sea.'
Tonoi didn't stop until the shark could move and swim in the water again. She and her friends then released the animal with its friends to their habitat.
