In 2021, residents stumbled upon a Japanese relic bomb, which they promptly handed over to the Pariaman City Police. Acting swiftly, the police coordinated with the Gegana Jibom Team from the West Sumatra Regional Police to handle the situation. The bomb disposal took place in the Rawang Gor field, Pariaman City.

Simultaneously, the residents of Ampar Village in Pariaman Kota discovered 10 fish bombs, which were also dealt with during the same operation. The Bomb Disposal Unit disassembled the fish bombs, which were stored in a cardboard box near Elementary School 08 Ampar Village on July 1, 2023.

Under the expertise of Gegana Sat Brimob Polda West Sumatra, the dispatching of the bomb was carried out successfully. As a precautionary measure, local residents were advised to keep a safe distance from the area where the bomb disposal took place, as informed by the authorities prior to the explosion.

The entire operation unfolded with great caution, ensuring the safety of the residents while effectively neutralizing the threat posed by the Japanese relic bomb and the fish bombs.
