An angry buffalo chased away passing hikers as they took pictures of him.

The bovine stopped eating when the group arrived on the trail in Bukidnon province, the Philippines on March 7.

It paused for a while until one of the happy tourists pulled out his phone to snap photos of the animal.

Footage shows the furious creature running after the holidaymaker after he disturbed him from eating grass.

Hiker Gerald said: ‘When we were about to reach the camp site, one of my friends stopped to watch the buffalo. We all thought it was tied on a rope but it was free ranging and chased him.'

The hikers passed by unhurt and the creature returned to its meal after the encounter.
