Residents battle to scoop up flood from apartment balcony
Residents battled to scoop up rain water from a flooded apartment balcony during a storm in Thailand.
Footage shows the locals using pails to frantically remove the flood from the second-storey platform in Bangkok while a drain pipe gushed out even more water on May 29.
Tenant Pui Pathama Tongjam said that the balcony could not be drained properly due to a clogged drain pipe, so they had to collect the water with pails to keep it from entering the apartment.
Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are approaching their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
