The new energy vehicle (NEV) market in China has provided opportunities for foreign automakers.

The latest official figures show, in the first half of this year, China's NEV sales surged 44.1 percent year on year to nearly 3.75 million units.

Many global automakers are eyeing the potential of the consumer market in the NEV sector.
