This is the heartwarming moment a group of Good Samaritans helped drivers carry their motorcycles across a flooded road following heavy rain in the Philippines.

The group of around 10 men stationed themselves next to the submerged road in Pinggot town, Negros Occidental province to assist motorists in crossing the water on July 12.

Footage shows how the kind villagers carried the two-wheelers across both sides of the road as a gushing muddy stream flowed across it.

State weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the heavy rain was caused by a low-pressure area of weather amplified by the southwest monsoon.

The Philippines and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are approaching their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
