"As you can see, Chengdu people love sport."

More and more young people choose Chengdu as their dreamland, making it a vibrant "City of Youth."

Data shows that over 80 percent of the city's young entrepreneurs are below the age of 37.

SOUNDBITE 4 (Chinese): CHEN SI, General Manager of Chengdu Beidou Zhixun Information Technology Development Co., Ltd.
"I returned here in 2014 and devoted myself to my profession. Chengdu is attractive to hardware developers. Many of my classmates stayed in Sichuan, and many of them have become chief technology officers."

Using China's Beidou navigation system for civilian purposes, Chen Si improved signals and equipped vehicles with sensors. He solved the problems of smart transportation and enabled seamless positioning and navigation without changing the terminal.

SOUNDBITE 5 (Chinese): ZHOU KUN, Founder of 23mofang Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
"Many talents choose Chengdu as their second best option other than megacities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Chengdu has significant competitive advantages in terms of government policies and business environment. It's a great city for entrepreneurship. Chengdu is at the forefront of fashion with a huge consumption potential in culture. That gives it a strong competitive edge nationwide."

Zhou Kun's team is committed to their mission to digitize life and benefit lives.

SOUNDBITE 6 (Chinese): WANG DONGGUO, Operations Manager of Chengdu CDT Sports Park
"After finishing my studies, I realized that Chengdu is an excellent city. Walking on the streets, you can meet many people of similar ages and interests. In the beginning, our development mainly focused on team sports like football and basketball. Then we found Chengdu to be an inclusive and youthful city. Since 2022, trendy activities among young people like frisbee and flag football have seen explosive growth. We are building sports communities, and organizing activities every week for young people, which are very popular."

SOUNDBITE 7 (Chinese): CHEN SI, General Manager of Chengdu Beidou Zhixun Information Technology Development Co., Ltd.
"We have a common practice in our company that if we have to work extra hours after 7:00 p.m., employees will bring their basketballs or badminton rackets and put on their running shoes at around 6:00 p.m. They will go to the nearby Jincheng Lake Park to do some exercise before returning at 7:00 p.m. to continue working. This is a vivid embodiment of how we have both work and life in Chengdu."

This "City of Youth" attracts not only Chinese but also foreigners with its energetic vibes.

SOUNDBITE 8 (English): OLIVER JONES, British volunteer at Tongzilin Community
"I study child psychology at an English university here in China. We recruit many volunteers to help out with events and stuff like that. We have many events that we do, such as the food festival. We also have many community-day stuff, where local businesses can just have a chance to shine."

SOUNDBITE 9 (English): ANDY MCAULEY, Football coach
"This place is one of the biggest football pitches in the city and it's very well known. It's one of my favorite places here too. But I've been in Chengdu for 15 years and I know that Chengdu people love to play sport."

Today, the "City of Youth" welcomes more young people from all over the world to pursue their dreams here and make a difference.
