Rescuers and locals form a human chain and use a rope to evacuate 100 people amid devastating floods in India's Uttrakhand. The video was filmed at Maldevta Road near Sitapur in Tehri Garhwal district yesterday (July 23).

The footage shows members of India's State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) helping residents cross the raging water. The team was led by Commandant Mr. Manikant Mishra and Inspector Anirudh Bhandari.

According to local sources, a bridge collapsed as torrential rains hit the area.

The SDRF received heartfelt appreciation from local authorities and residents for their swift response and effective rescue operations. The Chief Minister also praised the rescue team's courage and expertise, acknowledging their life-saving mission with utmost admiration.
