The sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE) will arrive after 100 days. Global companies say they have embraced new opportunities in the Chinese market through participating in the CIIE.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): OLGA GUBINA, CEO of Svitlogorie China (a Russian ice cream company)
"At the beginning, we didn't understand the Chinese market well and didn't know what Chinese consumers like. However, we have been doing better and better year after year. The main breakthrough came last year when we participated in many exhibitions including the CIIE. Currently, we are bringing our famous Russian waffle cup ice cream to the Chinese market. Next year, we plan to expand our product line with other SKUs (product categories)."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): MARCO RUSSO CAMMEI, Head of the Italian jewelry brand Russo Cammei
"You know that we love that event because it gives to us the opportunity to understand how is great the passion that Chinese people have for our items. So we are really exciting to have the opportunity to return in a normal way. So we imagine that will be a great show."

More than 280 Fortune 500 enterprises and companies taking the lead in their industries have signed up for the sixth CIIE slated to be held in Shanghai from Nov. 5 to 10 this year.
