STORYLINE:
An exhibition featuring ancient civilization, and modern art and culture of Italy's Puglia region kicked off Wednesday in Nanjing, capital city of east China's Jiangsu Province.
Puglia is a region in southern Italy with more than 800 km of coastline.
The exhibition aims to present the art, culture, commerce and agriculture of the Puglia region, as it showcases the exquisite technologies and rich spiritual life of the locals from the 6th century BC to the 2nd century AD with pottery relics, sculptures and ancient coins.
It also includes the digital works of Italian artists Alessia Rollo and Roberto Santoro, and displays 30 authorized works by Italian photographers to show the natural scenery and cultural heritage of Puglia.
The exhibition is being held in the Oriental Metropolitan Museum in Nanjing, a city of more than 3,000 years of history.
The exhibition will last until November.
