STORYLINE:

The 20th World Congress of Chinese Medicine kicked off on Tuesday in the Philippine capital city Manila, under the theme of "Health for all: integration of traditional medicine into universal health care."

The circle of friends of traditional Chinese medicine has been growing, said Ma Jianzhong, chairman of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, noting that the traditional Chinese medicine, as an important international business card and health envoy, has become an important part of building a global community of health for all.

Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos expressed in a video message his expectation of an "engaging and productive event."
