STORYLINE:
 
The celebration ceremony of the fourth birthday of the giant panda twins Bao Di and Bao Mei, born on Aug. 8, 2019, was held at the Pairi Daiza zoo in Belgium on Wednesday.
 
On the same day, Bao Di and Bao Mei moved into their new enclosure.

"It's always marvelous to see the birthday of the panda, particularly Bao Di and Bao Mei on this day."

The park prepared special birthday cakes for the two stars of the day.

"So I made five different bamboos to make one big flower. This flower has a special bamboo cake and also has carrot and apple. And because today's temperature is higher and we feel warm, I put a lot of ice for panda to play. So they very enjoy it."

Their parents, the giant pandas Xing Hui and Hao Hao, arrived in Belgium in 2014 as ambassadors of the Sino-Belgian friendship.

By now, the couple has given birth to three cubs, with their first baby Tian Bao born in 2016, and twins Bao Di and Bao Mei born in 2019.
