This is the dramatic moment a huge concrete post being transported on a lorry came loose and crashed through the windscreen of a car travelling behind.

Dashcam footage captured the accident on a road in Fuqing, Fujian province, southeast Chinas at around 8:00 am on August 15.

The black Mercedes Benz SUV was making a right turn onto a city boulevard while the truck in front was carrying several utility poles.

As the driver tried entering the street, they stopped suddenly behind the lorry before trying to overtake. However, the truck also veered to the left to avoid a parked vehicle.

As the lorry moved back into the right lane, the SUV's driver then tried to speed ahead. However, one of the loosely secured poles slid from the back of the vehicle.

Miraculously, the driver escaped any serious injury from the accident. Police arrived at the scene and interviewed both drivers before taking their details for insurance claims.
