A magnitude 5.1 earthquake rattled a house as it struck the Philippines early Thursday morning.

CCTV footage shows kitchen equipment swaying as the tremor struck Bansud Town, Oriental Mindoro province on August 24. A vehicle parked in the garage was also seen shaking during the quake.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor struck at 1:38 a.m. 12 kilometres north of Bansud in Oriental Mindoro province at a depth of one kilometre.

State seismologists warned of aftershocks. However, no injuries or deaths were reported.

The Philippines is an archipelago of more than 7,000 islands inside the Pacific 'Ring of Fire' where the majority of Earth's volcano eruptions and earthquakes happen.
