A couple of brave customers managed to apprehend a criminal who attempted to rob a store in Volzhsky, southern Russia, on September 4.

Security camera footage shows the thief battling with a female member of staff over the store's till.

With the help of a third local, the two men managed to apprehend the robber.

According to the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Volgograd Region, the thief was identified as a 33-year-old.
