Comet Nishimura, discovered by amateur Japanese astronomer Hideo Nishimura just last month and officially named C/2023 P1, is on its closest point to Earth this September and visible even to the naked eye if sky conditions are right. The cosmic visitor won't be back again until year 2458.

Video owner captured this footage on September 9 in the Mojave Desert, combining 25 images shot using 80PHQx0.76 (455mm f/5.7) Z6 ISO800 over a 60-sec timeframe.
