An apparent traffic argument between two taxi drivers led to a violent scene in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo, which became the scene of an event that ended with a fist fight between those involved and an avoidable accident: one of the drivers ran over to a motorcyclist passing through the area.

The incident was recorded on September 16, but its images became known in the last few hours. It was at the intersection of Thames and Gorriti streets, where two drivers were filmed shouting in the middle of the road.

According to official sources, the incident occurred around 5:50 in the morning. Apparently, one of the taxi drivers was angry because the other had cut in front of traffic to “steal” a passenger who was waiting for public transportation.

This action triggered the man to rebuke him, starting an intense verbal exchange that quickly escalated into violence. A few minutes later, both had already gotten out of their cars and were threatening, from next to their doors, to hit each other.

The confrontation ended up happening seconds later, when one finally pounced on the other and they began an intense fistfight. Those present in the area tried to act as intermediaries and stop the aggression. This only ended when one of the two gave in and got back into his vehicle with the intention of leaving.

However, when he accelerated, the driver who was still standing on the street tried to hit the taxi driver's window. Consequently, the driver made a maneuver that involved a dangerous turn, which caused the car to end up hitting a motorcyclist who was passing by and had nothing to do with the incident. The latter was injured.

This video illustrates the moment between the fight between the taxi drivers and the subsequent hitting of a motorcyclist on September 27.
