Several buffaloes injured after being hit by train in northern India
Three buffaloes died while several were left injured after they were hit by a train in northern India's Rajasthan.
This incident happened in Udaipur on October 3.
Visuals showed the disappointing scenes of a bull's carcass laid on the ground near the track with a big crowd surrounding it. The bovine had visible injuries to its body and efforts were being made to lift it up and take it away from the area. First aid was provided to the injured animals as well. A crane was used in this operation. A rope was tied around the neck of the animal and a crane was used to lift it up and put it behind the back of a vehicle. The injured animal was seen wagging its tail after it was lifted up into the back of the vehicle.
According to a report, three buffaloes were undergoing treatment. The train was passing at a good speed near the Pratapnagar station via Savina Under Bridge when suddenly the buffaloes came on the track in front of it. The train didn't have enough time to stop and the animals were hit hard. Three buffaloes reportedly died on the spot. A big crowd had gathered where the accident took place and Shakti Singh, the Joint Secretary of Animal Husbandry department along with Municipal Corporation animal aid team reached the spot.
