A kind-hearted couple in Guangdong, China, documented their rescue of a ragdoll cat trapped on a platform high above the street.

The heartwarming scene took place on 16 September.

The filmer was on her way home when she heard meowing and spotted the kitten trapped on a ledge high above, possibly having fallen from a higher floor.

Since the floor where the cat was located was abandoned and the kitten was too high up to reach from the ground, the filmer was unable to rescue it in time and had to get on with their day, after seeking help from the property manager, the police, and the local rescue centre.

The next day, the filmer and her partner once again made their way to the building and were lucky enough to re-locate the kitten and a window next to it where they could get to it.

Finally, with the kind help of the building's caretaker, they were able to enter the building and rescued the stranded feline, who had been trapped for days.

In the end, the filmer couple adopted the lucky kitten, who has been named Fortune and has happily joined their family after a series of treatments.
