A 3-year-old female tiger was captured by villagers after it had terrorised locals in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, on October 17.

The wild animal had roamed around the area for about two weeks and forest officials speculated that the tiger may have been searching for her own territory or she was pushed out by others.

The tiger was later released into the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve.
