A clever pet macaw parrot has learned how to imitate his owner's workout moves - performing identical stretches from inside his cage.

Footage shows the six-month-old tropical bird named Seahorse copying his owner's pilates side leg raises at their home in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, on October 28.

Seahorse can be seen in the video lying on the cage floor and lifting its leg to copy the keep-fit moves.

Owner Sudarat Pongpaiboon said: 'Seahorse loves to imitate me, but only when I am exercising. He's very attached to people and doesn't like it when I go away.'

Macaws are highly intelligent birds known for their ability to mimic human speech, and they are social creatures that thrive on interaction and companionship.
