Gazans sifted through rubble to search for survivors following a bombing attack in Rafah on Thursday afternoon.

Footage shows people rummaging through the remains of an obliterated building after it was bombed in the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict at around 3pm local time.

Rafah sits at the border between southern Gaza and Egypt.

The United Nations said 'almost half of Gaza's population' is now crammed into the city hoping to escape bombardment by Jewish settlers.

Israel has declared war and besieged the Gaza Strip in retaliation for an attack by the Palestinian ruling party Hamas at a music festival on October 7.

Gaza health authorities claim that as of December 14, at least 18,787 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since the long-running religious and territorial conflict flared up.

Israel has been accused of genocide and using the attacks to ethnically cleanse the region and expand the Jewish state into Gaza and other Palestinian territories in the West Bank.
