China: Good Samaritan Alerts Driver Of Truck On Fire Speeding On Chengdu Highway
A large truck carrying hay caught fire while speeding on a highway in Chengdu, Sichuan on December 14. The small fire turned into a blazing inferno as the truck continued to speed.
A woman driving near the truck noticed the fire and honked relentlessly for four minutes to catch the attention of the driver. After realizing the truck driver was not hearing her warning, she rolled down her window and shouted at the truck driver that his truck was on fire. Luckily, he heard her and promptly reduced his speed and stopped.
The woman called the 119 for him and left the scene. According to local media, the fire was put off by firefighters.
