The compilation of videos shows various scenes after a Chinese province was devastated by a 6.2-magnitude earthquake that killed more than a hundred people.

The first video, recorded by surveillance cameras, depicts three men having dinner at an eatery when they suddenly felt the ground shaking shortly before midnight on December 18.

All of the restaurant's guests can then be seen storming out of the store located in the city of Linxia, located in China's province of Gansu.

A second CCTV clip recorded in the same area shows two people running out of the store, one of which covered in a blanket, after the earthquake stroke and triggered most of the items inside to collapse on the ground.

Then a third surveillance camera recording from the front yard of a building in the same city shows the whole structure trembling and snow shaking off from its roof.

The Gansu Province, one of the country's poorest regions, was struck by the devastating earthquake shortly before midnight.

The shock happened about 100 kilometres (62 miles) southwest of the Chinese city of Lanzhou, near the Gansu-Qinghai border.

At least 127 people were killed and hundreds were injured, with thousands of mud houses being brought down in remote villages and fatalities expected to rise.

The earthquake is the country's deadliest in the last decade when more than 600 people were killed by a quake in south-western Yunnan Province in 2014.
