This is the shocking moment an ambulance flipped over and crashed through the yard of a home.

The emergency vehicle was supposed to take hospital workers to an earthquake and tsunami drill activity in Oriental Mindoro province, the Philippines, when it spun out of control on December 15.

CCTV footage shows the ambulance rolling across the ditch and slamming through the concrete fence of the property.

Due to the impact, two of them were thrown off from the windows and across the driveway. Three of the passengers and the driver were injured and rushed back to the hospital.

One of the injured passengers Joshua Cortez said in an interview with local media: ‘We were trying to avoid a motorcycle. It was raining so the brakes might have slipped. We first hit a tree and then crashed through the fence.'

Those injured were in stable condition except for one who had to remain in the hospital for observation.

Doctor Dante Nuestro: ‘One of them had bleeding in the ears. It can indicate fracture to the skull so specialists had to make more tests.'

Meanwhile, Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito Dolor said they will provide assistance to those injured.

He said: ‘We will do everything to help them. This accident should serve as a lesson to all those who use the road.'

Naujan Police Lieutenant Colonel Christian Bermudez said: ‘The road was slippery, and it was an accident-prone area.' Investigations are still ongoing.
