According to data from Horgos Customs, the Horgos Port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region registered record-high import and export freight volume in 2023.

The freight volume passing through the port totaled 41.78 million tons in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 4.4 percent.

The types of import and export commodities through the port are increasingly diversified. Among them, the export volume of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in 2023 increased by more than eight times year-on-year.
