DC Fire and EMS responded to a high-angle rescue situation in the 600 block of Park Rd NW. An injured worker was stranded on the roof of a building under construction. The rescue operation involved utilizing a construction crane to lower the victim in a specialized rescue basket known as a stokes.

The initial report indicated that the worker's injuries were not life-threatening. An update later confirmed the successful completion of the hi-angle rescue, with the victim safely lowered to the ground using the crane and stokes rescue basket. A firefighter accompanied the victim during the descent. The injured worker will be transported for further medical attention with non-life-threatening injuries.
