This is the amazing moment firefighters removed a king cobra from a family's kitchen in the Philippines.

The rescue volunteers arrived at the scene and caught the ferocious creature as the family watched in fear in Barangay Malayo Norte, Cortes, Bohol, on January 29.

The rescued snake, identified as Banakon, commonly known as the King Cobra (Ophiophagus Hannah), is a highly venomous species.

Resident Carlo Mortejo said: 'We were shocked when we found the snake inside the house. The operation showcased the proficiency and coordination of the local firefighting teams, ensuring the safety of residents in the area.'
